Legit Vintage
So the magic happened...
Remember the fabulous photographer Joe who took all the pictures for Anthropologie Fashion Show? Joe and I had a super magical collab shoot with a hair salon called Velvet Hair Studio in West Chester in the middle of April.
He booked me in February for this shoot, and the team had been working so much for the shoot for almost 2 months - so let me explain first - this shoot was teamed up with so many talented people in so many categories, everyone put their amazing work into one shoot! I've been modeling and having shoots a lot (although I don't want to call myself a "model") but when I have this kind of shoot, it makes me extra hype. I know I will turn into someone not just typical Rie, and it's always beyond exciting! And you know what's another thing that made me hyped up? - I got to wear LEGIT REAL vintage dresses for this shoot styled by the goddess Malena!
Here is the magical team:
photographer: Joe Mac
hair/make up artists: Velvet Hair Studio, Annie Mac & Erica McGuirk
stylist: Ms Malena
hair accessories: TWIG Gardens
Enjoy all the magical photos along with behind the scene shots (it's always the fun part to see, you know!)... Everything was so precious and I got oh so spoiled! I'm not gonna lie, I did feel like I was a princess or something!
I literally woke up and took an Uber to the salon, and they turned me into someone else!!
The location took over Hunting Hill Mansion - SO DREAMY!!
This dress is over 100 YEARS OLD - I told Malena that I usually have problems finding dresses that actually fit me, because of my small figure, she told me that people back then were very petite, that's why these dresses fit me better than any dresses I've ever wore. Now I know where to find my true size dresses...
FYI: It was barely 40 degrees this day - in mid April! We were all shaking the whole time but no one can tell from the photos right? Thank you team for bundling me up with coats and robes every time the shot was taken... Mother Nature was so clumsy on us but we did it! HA!
I think it's so beautiful to create one thing with talented people. Or I could say talented 'artists' in their own way. It's not just 'photos', when so many artists put their work into it. It's art. I love love love that I feel the 'connection' through lens, through fabric, through makeup blush, through anything. Thank you Joe and everyone for this amazing opportunity! <3
